    Hello!
I have noticed that my featured images for each blog post are appearing blurry. The files are quite large, so I don’t think it’s the photo resolution. For example, the latest blog post about Red Velvet Christmas Bars– the featured image is 1999px x 1999px, and yet viewing the homepage, the image looks blurry.

Any idea how to make these images not blurry? Thank you!!!

    Hi thefetchingfoodie,

Please set up your WordPress media sizes according to theme recommended image sizes info.

Thanks so much for this reply! I’ve been trying this but it’s not seemly to resolve the issue.

If you go to thefetchingfoodie.com and view on a laptop/monitor sized ish screen, to me all of the featured images after the banana peanut butter muffins look blurry. Could you take a look and let me know if there’s something I’m missing? I tried resizing the featured images as well but havent had success.

The images to appear clear when I view on my cell phone, so it depends on the screen size.

    Thanks so much!!!

    Hi thefetchingfoodie,

Have you set up your Settings → Media according to info from the theme documentation?

Also, please note that once you set the correct media sizes, these will be applied to newly uploaded images only. For the images you’ve already uploaded to your website you need to use a plugin to rebuild the sizes.

(All of this information is in aforementioned theme documentation link.)

    Hi there,

I have been following all of the guidelines

    https://webmandesign.github.io/docs/receptar/#image-sizes
    https://codex.wordpress.org/Post_Thumbnails#Setting_a_Post_Thumbnail

And still no matter what I try, I can’t get new images to appear clearly. they’re all blurry. Could you please take a look? For example, the “cookie dough oreo brownies” post.

The images that ARE appearing clearly are ironically the ones that were transferred over from my other theme. (for example, the Dark Chocolate Red Velvet Sandwich Cookies Recipe)

Thank you very much for your help! I want to continue to use this theme but really need my images to appear clearly.

    Thank you!

    Best,
    Rachel

    Hi thefetchingfoodie,

It seems the thumbnail size on your website still has the size of 150×150 pixels. As according to theme documentation it is recommended to set it to 480×640.

What are the settings of your Settings → Media admin page, could you please provide a screenshot?

Here is how it should be set in the theme according the theme documentation (and the information provided on the Media settings page):

In case you have already set the correct sizes, please use the https://wordpress.org/plugins/force-regenerate-thumbnails/ plugin to refresh the sizes of already uploaded images, as stated in theme documentation.

    Best regards,
