    Hi Oliver,

Is the only way to change to a custom font on the theme is to use google fonts? I need the site to be in ITC Avant Garde. Im not sure what plugin would work the best to get that font. Google Fonts doesn’t offer a close enough replacement for what my client wants. What would be the best way to get that font up on the site?

    Thanks :)

    Hi shaner13,

No, not at all, you can use whatever font you want with my themes. As stated in theme documentation, please follow the information in Appearance → Customize → Theme Options → Typography → “Use custom fonts”.

As I’m not sure where you get the ITC Avant Garde font from, it’s hard for me to provide a specific help. If the font is from Typekit, you can use a dedicated plugin to load it to your website, for example.

Basically, you need to load the font to your website somehow (if you already have your font files, try a plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/search/custom+font/ or https://wordpress.org/plugins/search/font+upload/, or load it different way). Once the font is loading on your website, you can simply set it up in Appearance → Customize → Theme Options → Typography → “CUSTOM FONTS SETUP”:
