Modifications Lost On Update Using Child Theme

    Resolved

I have tried a few times to update to the latest version of the theme and I’m losing customizations to the footer specifically but also some custom .css is gone.
I created my own child theme and enqueued the styles and have never had a problem before.

    Thank you very much Oliver!

    Hi kevindk,

Please understand that I do not provide full support for theme modifications, I can only provide tips – please read terms of service.

I can only suggest you to check your code. There should be no issue with theme updates. Depending on what theme version are you updating from, please check the theme changelogs to see the changes so you can check your code more precisely: https://github.com/webmandesign/receptar/releases

You may also try https://wordpress.org/plugins/child-theme-check/ plugin if it’s any good to you (how it works).

    Hi,

Actually, theme version 1.4.0 was quite major and could mess up your code. Please just check the current Receptar code and update your child theme accordingly. That’s the only solution, actually.
