    Hi cryptokin,

By default there should be no issue with WordPress accessing the wp-content/uploads folder. WordPress actually uses this folder to upload media such as images. Can you upload an image into your media library without any issue?

As the theme uses WordPress core functionality to upload into the folder, the issue is not really related to the theme. Please check your WordPress folder permissions and proceed accordingly (or point your IT team to these resources).

Please consult the issue with your IT team as they will be able to provide more info about why it does not work for you and why they restrict WordPress in this way. I’m not server specialist, I can not provide any specific solution for your server setup, sorry.

You can try setting up FTP access in wp-config.php file instead of using define( 'FS_METHOD', 'direct' );. Maybe that will help.

Every once in a while file permissions on my server get wacky. So sometimes I can’t update plugins.

So if I delete the wmtheme-polyclinic directory, is it suppose to create a new directory when I make changes in the customize editor?

    Hi cryptokin,

If your WordPress has sufficient (standard) permissions and is working OK, then yes, every time you save the customizer (Appearance → Customize) the theme stylesheet is regenerated. You can actually check the time the stylesheet was regenerated by navigating to the dev (unminified) version of the stylesheet at YOURWEBSITE.COM/wp-content/uploads/wmtheme-polyclinic/dev-polyclinic-styles.css. Scrolling to the bottom of the file you’ll see the time it was regenerated.

It says “/* Using Polyclinic theme by WebMan – Oliver Juhas (https://www.webmandesign.eu/), version 1.5.6. CSS generated on 2018/12/07 23:33, UTC. */”

Should it say something else if I made changes to the Customizer?

    Hi cryptokin,

Yes, the time should be different. It should match the time you’ve saved the customizer settings.

As you’ve logged this ticket on 15th Dec and you’ve mentioned you’ve saved the customizer settings, it should definitely read newer date than 2018/12/07. But as there is a problem with permissions on your server and the theme can not create/overwrite the stylesheet file it does not get renewed.

Please try solution from my previous reply above.
