    Hello,

We have tried to install the Icelander theme on a few of our websites and it is completely crashing the website. We contacted GoDaddy and they say it is an issue with the theme. They have offered to fix it but would charge us a large amount. Any idea of why this would be happening?

This is one of the websites we are trying to use the theme on – http://new2.thepalmsshops.com/

    Hi weingartenrealty,

Have GoDaddy offered some more information about the issue? Do you get any PHP error/warning?

Have you installed the theme correctly? I can’t actually access the theme’s stylesheet on your website, so it seems it is not installed properly. Please check this ThemeForest help article too: https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/202821510

If the issue still persist after proper theme installation, please enable WordPress debug and report any PHP error/warnings displayed on your website here.

    Best regards,

This seems to be the error –

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘*’, expecting ‘,’ or ‘;’ in /home/weingartenrealty/public_html/new2/wp-content/themes/icelander/includes/update-notification/class-update-notification.php on line 28

    Hi weingartenrealty,

Please note this issue is related to outdated PHP version installed on your servers. Please search this support site for more info. Please contact your hosting company (GoDaddy?) to update the PHP version.
