    Video format don't show video

    Resolved

    Hey,
Went i use the video format for portfolio post or blog post, like with a video shortcut in the post, the video is not show at the top of the post (like an illustration) but it was in old version of the theme.

    Hi thepi0uz,

Can you provide an URL of the affected post please? Are you using correct video embedding (either with shortcode or directly adding video URL into post content)?

    Hi thepi0uz,

I’ve checked your website and there is some
<span class="embed-youtube" style="text-align:center; display: block;">YouTube video here</span> wrapper around the embeded video. Please note that this is not normal, WordPress does not wrap videos in this <span> HTML tag. And that’s why video post can not see there is a video embeded in the post content.

Please switch to “Text” tab of your post editor and remove the <span> tag around your YouTube video URL. You can watch a video on how to use WordPress embeds.

    Hi thepi0uz,

In that case please first check your plugins. Maybe you are using some plugin that puts such wrapper around the embed media?

You can also try removing the &amp;feature=youtu.be from the YouTube link to see if that helps. It’s really not needed at all in there.

If it still does not work, please provide admin access to your website so I can check personally.

    Best regards,
